   ABOUT CIIR

Center for Information Integrity Research (CIIR) aims at:
  • Creating awareness about Information Integrity among educators, researchers, academic institutions, and professional societies.
  • Identifying individuals and institutions interested in Information Integrity research and education.
  • Building a network of Information Integrity researchers and educators and initiate research and education activities.
  • Organizing seminars, workshops, symposiums, discussion meetings, etc. to present, disseminate, and document the research and educational outcome.
  • Implementing promotional programs to generate motivation and professional prestige among academia, practitioners, and students about the field of Information Integrity.

The Vision

Under the aegis of Unitech Systems (India) Pvt. Ltd., Center for Information Integrity (CIIR) was launched at Delhi, India on June 4, 1999. CIIR is an integral part of Information Integrity Coalition (IIC) Mission (See www.informationIntegrity.org). CIIR vision is to create, organize, expand, and disseminate knowledge about Integrity of Information System and Information therefrom, so as to develop Information Integrity (I*I) as a recognized field of knowledge. 

Affiliation
Center for Information Integrity Research (CIIR) is a research desk of Unitech Systems (India) Pvt Ltd, Bangalore, which is an affliate of Infogix, Inc. (formerly Unitech Systems, Inc.), USA.

Location
CIIR has its research activity centers located at Delhi and Pune.


CIIR Activities – Entrepreneurship, Research, and Publication
Towards it vision, CIIR proposes to pursue following research & education activities of entrepreneurship, research, and publication:

  • Publications of I*I Research Papers
  • Participation in international conferences to present I*I papers
  • Identification of I*I Research Areas; Delivering of I*I Seminars and Knowledge Area Awareness Lectures
  • Organization of I*I Research & Education Meetings – Brain storming, Experts’ Meetings, One Day Meetings
  • Conducting of Intensive I*I Research Workshops at universities, institutions
  • Establishment of CIIR Library; Motivating university academia to pursue I*I research at doctoral level
  • Seeking institutes to collaborate with CIIR in developing I*I knowledge space by facilitating their faculty to work on I*I research under the institution’s faulty development schemes;
  • Working with universities, institutions to initiate I*I education courses/programs at PG, UG levels; Reviewing I*I research projects;
  • Organizing I*I seminars at national and international levels;
  • Organizing continuing education programs for industry professionals in the areas of I*I;
  • Developing I*I Research Community - Special Interest groups;
  • Organizing I*I Research Paper Competition at Student Academic Conferences; Instituting Academic and Industry Awards for Excellence in I*I,etc.
    Leadership
    Dr. Vijay Mandke is CIIR Research Leader and IIC's co-founder. Professor Mandke is engaged in creating, organizing, expanding and disseminating knowledge about the integrity of information and Information Systems, so as to develop Information Integrity (I*I) as a recognized field of knowledge. He has organized I*I discussion group meetings and delivered seminars at various institutions; and initiated I*I research and education initiatives with academia and professionals
